This type of wind reel is a simple project to make and is great for the beginner or advanced wind fisherman. I have made this wind reel in different sizes from 16 to 25 feet. It has an off-center wind setting so you are able to wind the reel by the center of the wind, without having to wind it off the center. This will ensure that all your wind reels will wind equally.
It’s also great for wind fishing on small lakes as your wind reels will be able to wind in tight winds. You can even make this wind reel with the wind setting set at 0, and wind the reel at the center of the wind. This will give you a wind setting of 2:1.
